About Me

About Me

I was a special education teacher for many years before entering counseling. I hold a master’s in special education and counseling, with a concentration in mental health counseling and applied behavior analysis. I enjoy working with children and their families. I have also worked in hospital settings, where I worked with adults with chronic mental health disorders; thus, even though I enjoy working with children, I am also trained in working with adults.

Apart from counseling clients to help them heal, I love to give back to the counseling profession by presenting and being involved in professional organizations. I also love to help train and educate upcoming counselors. My passion for the profession has grown further since I completed my doctoral degree at Liberty University.

Apart from being a counselor, educator, and supervisor, I am also a mother of two little ones. Therefore, in my spare time, I spend time with my kids and my husband. You may also find me helping my community through some type of outreach, be it in a school or a community event. I also enjoy advocating for students with disabilities and the Latino/a community.  I am looking forward to meeting you.
